I was going to reply to this with a joke (“It looks like a cockroach?”), but then I realized something: I’ve never read Metamorphosis, and yet I know the key plot point in the whole book, that the guy wakes up one day and he’s a bug. And then I thought, those kind of key plot points in books are like the Greatest Hits of the literature world. It must drive a Nabokov fan crazy when someone says, “Lolita is about a pervy old dude who wants to fuck an underage girl,” because they’re like, “Yes but it’s about so much mooore.” Well, Queen had some pretty good songs outside “Bohemian Rhapsody,” but I don’t see you buying A Night At the Opera, know what I’m sayin’? Plus no man in his right mind would keep his glasses on while going down on a woman. If you’re doing it right, those thigh muscles will crack them glasses in two.
