cordjefferson: According to the mayor’s office, here’s the Occupy Wall Street library, safe and sound despite reports that it had been destroyed by barbaric police officers. Who’s lying? This is important. Police need to not be as violent towards the protesters, but the protesters need to not exaggerate the direness of their circumstances, and purposefully make the police/mayor/etc out to be terrible people. Doing so places judgment and trivializes the entire movement.
